Malaysia eVISA for Students

Eligible Visa with Reference (VDR)

To apply for an eVISA for students, you need a Visa Approval Letter (eVAL). The reference number must start with BVP/STU/xxxxx/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxx. Dependents can apply too.

Who Can Apply?

Students can apply from all educational levels. This includes universities, colleges, and private language centers.

Requirements for eVISA for Students

  1. Passport Biodata Page: Your passport must be valid for 6 months from your travel date. Provide a scanned copy.
  2. Visa Approval Letter (eVAL): You need a valid eVAL issued by the relevant authority in Malaysia.

Malaysia eVISA for Expatriates

To apply for an eVISA as an expatriate, you must have a valid Visa with Reference (VDR) number. Acceptable VDRs begin with ESD, BPP, BPR, RPT, RPM. The eligible Pass Types include:

  • Employment Pass
  • Professional Visit Pass (Talent)
  • Resident Pass (Talent)
  • Dependent Pass
  • Social Visit Pass (Temporary Employment) for Domestic Helpers
 

Requirements for eVISA for Expatriates:

  1. Passport Biodata Page: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your travel date. Provide a scanned version.
  2. Visa Approval Letter (eVAL): This letter must be issued by the relevant Malaysian government authority.

Malaysia eVISA for Foreign Workers

The eVISA for Foreign Workers is for the Informal Sector in Peninsular Malaysia. In Sabah and Sarawak, it cover both the Formal and Informal Sectors.

Requirements for eVISA:

  1. A scanned copy of your Passport Biodata Page. The passport must be valid for at least six months from your travel date.
  2. A valid Visa Approval Letter (VDR). The letter must be issued by the relevant Malaysian government authority.
